on the fence . . . this or that?

September 20, 2008

i would really like to have access to a coffee maker at work, i am thinking that if i get one it will be either the new keuring mini, or the phillips senseo.  we have the keuring at home and we love it, and the mini is getting great reviews (although it has not been released yet).  the senseo seems fine, people who have it like it, the reason why i an swayed toward the senseo is the price of the coffee “pods.”  the pods are much les expensive than the “k-cups.”  the pods run about 27-30 cents a cup, k-cups are 45-55 cents a cup.

if we get a coffee maker for the office it will be a single serve brewer (no arguments) and i think the senseo would be a better option because i would make everyone bring in their own coffee so that no one will get into all this “i bought yours so now you should buy mine” crap.  k-cups are not available at every grocery store, but it seems like the pods are.

the keurig is so small and cute, and i would love to hear the gurgle of the cups flowing all morning long . . . but the senseo (even though it takes up more space) would probably be the best option.

If you order your K-Cups from Amazon, you get 50 for $17 or so and they are delivered like clockwork every month on a subscription basis.

Stay true to the K-Cup! Then you won’t have to buy two different types of coffee for the different makers.

If you run out at work, you always have more at home!

I get all tingly just looking at the one on the right. I want one, too.
