life in the exam room

because of the snow this morning, and some staffing issues due to childcare,  i suddenly found myself wearing a pair of latex gloves.  there was a cervical polypectomy, an iud insertion, and a bunch of paps.  fun times.  the only thing i’m not too hot at is blood-pressure and pulse, so i steered clear of that stuff.

all the handing instruments, opening sterile packages, squeezing k-y tubes and cleaning up after, i’m pretty good at.  i wish i had a great story to post here, but i don’t, it was all rather uneventful –apart from hunting down instruments.  still, i think it might be best for both sides of the office if i stick with my desk job, for now anyway.

uh, no. the heat makes me nauseous . . . or is it the close proximity to my parents??? either way, we are so not moving to cali. you could move here though, or we could find a “happy medium.”
