the “2” is gone.

i no longer weigh 200 pounds, i hit my for goal last week. so, here i sit eating crackers and drinking a beer.

my dinner plan tonight is a can of “amy’s organic soups” low fat minestrone. i will eat the entire can, although that is 2 servings at 90 calories each. in this case i will consume 180 calories, 3 grams of fat and an unbelievable 1,160 mg of sodium (not so hot for the high blood pressure). but i will get 6 grams of protein (not bad for vegetarian) and 6 grams of fiber. add my beer at approximately 200 calories and the crackers at 150 calories, 1 gram of fiber and 3 grams of protein, with 180 mg of sodium (ouch). dinner tonight:630 calories.

breakfast was a left-over banana nut bran muffin i made on sunday. had an apple for a morning snack. my low today was a subway 6 inch turkey with cheese and a strawberry yogurt. when i got home i had a small low sodium v-8 to make my stomach shut-up. i think i have stuck under 2,000 calories today.

i had planned to give my college stand-by dinner a try: sweet potato, green and red pepper, onion, carrots, mushrooms and spinach-all chopped and steamed. this was always a good pick-me-up if i was over tired or not feeling well, but i didn’t have time to get to the store tonight (wanted to get laundry going). maybe tomorrow, beer is a good pick-me-up for today.
