hypertension!!!
i have hypertension! oh, crap. one of the clinical assistants at my office has been taking my blood pressure every day, and she gave me one of the office fliers on hypertension, i fit all criteria except for “smoker.”
here i will list my bp when i have it taken:
- may 9: 160/100 (crap!!! the highest it has ever been is 140/90!)
- may 12: 110/95
- may 13: 142/98
- may 14: today i saw my doctor about this bp thing, i brought a little sticky-note with my last three days of bp’s. he told me he was not “impressed” and he is not worried at all. he took my bp 6 times, 3 on each arm, then he refused to tell me what it was. he told me to stop obsessing. when the nurse practioner at my office took my bp this morning it was 152/98
- may 19: 145/82
- may 25: 130/92 (going down, i think. trying not to obsess.)

Wow, that is high. Will you be seeing a doctor about this? I have been on medication for hypertension for 8 years now. Half of my team at work is on some sort of medication. I guess that doesn’t say much about my job.

your numbers look exactly like mine YIKES !! My Dr. finally put me on meds..
I like to be drug free and she knows this so I kinda freaked about it ***ooops, that made the bp up again!! so, i was on a type of waterpill for one month and that kinda did the trick… but, i am trying to calm down so i do not have to go back on it, but that is just too hard!
