last week i royally messed up when i tried to make these pretzel topper candies. i figured, “directions?? whatever, i don’t need no stinkin’ directions!” and whoops . . . i made a big fat mess in the kitchen and wasted a lot of chocolate (well, not wasted exactly, what i did make tasted fantastic). i had three bags of ghirardelli chocolate chips in white, milk and dark. the white chocolate with the pretzels was a very good combination, and even though they were ugly, liz and i polished off the nine i made in two days.
so, now i am feeling a renewed confidence. i want to try again this weekend so i can follow my original plan and wrap them up to give as little gifts at work. i know my mistakes and now i have read the directions in full. everything should look pretty cute the second time around. the only problem will be getting within two miles of the craft store during the shopping rush so i can purchase the proper equipment, wish me luck.
